St. Tammany Parish, located just North of Lake Pontchartrain is a fast growing, densely populated parish. Mandeville has lots of lakefront which gives you access to homes with boat slips or near marinas and beautiful scenery. Fishing, riding , walk, jogging, you name it and you can do it here in Mandeville.
Slidell– Slidell, the largest city in the parish, has one of the more popular fishing areas on the North shore of Lake Pontchartrain with places like the Rigolets that have gained popularity and attract visitors from other parishes as well. Slidell also has lake front subdivisions like Eden Isles and a few others that can serve as a second home or vacation spot.
Abita Springs– Mostly known for the name of the bottled water company, Abita Springs has grown popular from the Abita Brewery located there. You can enjoy a beer brewed right here in Abita Springs almost anywhere in the country. Like other cities in the parish, it too has a trailhead there and allows people riding or walking on the trace to stop in and visit the brewery or play in the park.
Madisonville– Small and tucked away on the lake shore is the beautiful town of Madisonville. The town may not be large but it contains many wonderful sights and things to do. Every year the wooden boat festival attracts many visitors and the old lighthouse constructed in 1837 is a sight to see as well.
